Rap Song?

The day I wrote this I had just begun reading The Cross and the Switchblade by David Wilkerson. My spirit was heavy with all the sin and desperation in our world, and hearing about the new breakthroughs in science about what they can do with aborted babies.
It's awful.
I didn't know what to do except write. The verses may not all rhyme or make sense, but they come straight from my heart, penned in a rush of tears and deep emotion. It's the way that I pray---talk to God, cheer myself on. You can read it like a rap song.

There are abortions
And there is sex trafficking
There are orphans
And there is hurting

There are drug addicts and there are needy
And a God who brings healing

It's desperate and it's hopeless
All in a world of sin and sickness
But oh God You can save, You can revive
And You have worked in my life

Cleanse my heart within
Oh please my soul do win, Your work begin
Purge my lips with fire
And raise me higher
Cover me with Your blood
Wash my garments clean
I get on my knees in the mud
And pour out my heart to the One
Who allowed abortions and slavery
Addicts and needy
Orphans and hurting
And said "This is for my glory."

So I thank You for this mercy
I come to You trembling
Crying, shaking, wondering
Why God would create all this beauty hurting
In this world swollen turning?

The blood drips
The child limps
The mind dies
The tongue lies

And it's broken, bruised and beaten
This world torn, twisted, and untreated

My Savior did come and die
Before the stake He did lie
Naked flogged
Dying dragged
Cross hanged
Rose again
Third day
Salvation to all
Forgiveness He made

Into His plan
He dealt with the heart of man

Because we are wicked and sinful
And desperately hopeful that pain won't reach us--
No, not even a spoonful

But it's there and it's real
And it's love that makes the wheel...
The wheel of life that goes 'round, it doesn't get any more real

So while the clock clicks
Will you do discipleship
And while you're at it
You can give some tips
'Cause the needy have returned from their trip

And all the broken, bruised apples
Won't crush the needy and hungry world
We gotta love 'em like our Savior
So get your fruit out we're about to get hyper

There is hurt and pain yes
But God gave us a remedy to bless

So let's go on the road
A step of faith
A jump on grace
Disciples make
And God save
