The Meaning of Christmas

There was a beginning to mankind
And to sin no one was blind.
The LORD of Heaven was their friend,
And to labor not a soul had to bend.

But alas and did a Deceiver come,
To put an end to the perfect hum.
"Now enmity reigns!" Was the drum,
"And to shameless innocence you are numb."

So thousands of years passed,
And men's lives were masked.
A Savior was desperately needed,
And so "Christmas-time" succeeded.

You ask what Christmas means to me?
Come adore, on bended knee.
For our Savior has been born.
He has come to heal what we mourn.

Perfection will reign once more,
For His blood, it will pour.
Christ Jesus the King is born,
No longer from our LORD are we forever torn.
